No one could have seen this coming. Entering the playoffs, everyone was talking about the Cavs, Lakers, Magic and the Mavericks. Heck even teams like the Nuggets, Spurs and Hawks were considered to be more legitimate contenders. But somehow, someway the Boston Celtics have become the team to beat in the NBA playoffs. They have 2-0 lead over the Orlando Magic and are going back home to Boston. Are you kidding me? They already shocked the basketball world by upsetting Lebron and the Cavs.

Disappoinmentville!
For the past 24 hours I’ve been absolutely dumbfounded, perplexed and just plain disturbed over Lebron James pivotal game 5 performance or lack thereof. I must admit, I am a huge Lebron fan and living in Los Angles you can imagine how much heat I get from my Lakers fan buddies. All day on ESPN radio, Lakers fans were rejoicing over the Lebron debacle. You would have thought that the Lakers won the Championship. I was waiting for them to announce the Parade date. What a devastating turn of events. Just 2 weeks ago, I was having the time of my life ridiculing my friends with those LA Times Kobe photos. I was on cloud 9, attaching one of those photos to practically every email I sent for 2 days straight. Sigh….Good times.

A TALE OF TWO SERIES
Dwight Howard’s complete 180 degree performance from the Charlotte series to the Atlanta series has the Orlando Magic looking like the team that no one wants to face in these playoffs. See for yourself:

TOO HURT, OR NOT TOO HURT?
That is the question. But who’s question? Should it matter? This is what makes legends. We’ve seen injured stars in the playoffs before, but it’s how they overcome it that solidifies their legacies.

Seriously???!!!!
The captain & leader of the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers & most feared assassin in the NBA today is now the least feared & most fashionable* player in the league. Unpleasant & Laughter jumped out of my head when I first looked at his glam shots. Unpleasant because of the fact that this “man” has been the dominant force in the NBA for the past few years. Laughter because plain & simple…

Fear The Deer!!
The Milwaukee Bucks have pulled ahead of the Atlanta Hawks 3-2 & are now one win away of pulling one of the biggest upsets in NBA playoff history. With their dominant center out due to an outrageously horrific injury, the Bucks were thought of as cattle to the healthy & determined Atlanta Hawks. The first 2 games were a prime example of what was to come of the series, but with a “nothing to lose”, “us against the world” mentality, Brandon Jennings & Co. have exceeded everyone’s, & let face it, even theirs, expectations in these playoffs. Now, with game 6 at Milwaukee, Scott Skiles will have his team focused & ready to shock the basketball world.
8 – 24 = 16th Lakers Championship.
Most NBA experts and even Las Vegas odds makers had the Lakers as the favorite to defend their title. With the acquisition of Ron Artest and the re-signing of Lamar Odom I thought the Lakers would be near unbeatable. And I wasn’t alone. Before the season started, some pundits even thought that the Lakers had a legitimate shot at breaking the
’95 Chicago Bulls record of 72 games. So what happened? Age, injuries, complacency, lack of chemistry? I’d guess it’s a little bit of everything. But if I had to put my fin
