Obsolete Debate........

The statement “Kobe Bryant is the greatest player in the NBA” has been debated more frequently and aggressively then politicians have debated abortion in recent years. Everyone has reasons why they agree and disagree with this statement. I don’t intend to force my opinion upon you readers. Instead I am simply here to provide you with the necessary tools for you to reach the logical conclusion, which is of course that Kobe is indeed the greatest NBA player. His career numbers are undisputable proof of his greatness, but that’s not reason enough to label him the greatest, not even the incredible 81 point performance seems sufficient.

Dirk drops and dishes

Dirk has picked up right where he left off with another great playoff performance under his belt, 36pts (12-14 FG &12-12ft). Dirk took it upon himself, as always, to make sure this team is a force to be reckoned with in this postseason. The “soft-spoken” Mavericks left a loud defensive presence on the court when they held the high scoring Spurs to a mere 94 along with 17 turnovers which led to 20 Mavs points. With Dallas’ newest toys in Butler & Haywood, the Spurs seemed hesitant to double Dirk like they did in last year’s 1st round series. At times that they did, Dallas capitalized on the opportunities.

When Stars Align

It would only be fitting if the Los Angels Lakers met the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The best team from the West vs. the best team in the East and of course Kobe vs. Lebron. It’s probably the biggest, most heated debate in all of sports and what better way to settle it than on the NBA’s biggest stage, the NBA Finals. It’s been very reminiscent of the Michael vs. Magic debate that took place in the late 80’s. One, an accomplished, legendary champion and the other, a once in a generation, supremely gifted Superstar. Magic was a 5 Time NBA Champion, 3 Time MVP, and the face of the NBA’s most storied franchise.
