A TALE OF TWO SERIES

Dwight Howard’s complete 180 degree performance from the Charlotte series to the Atlanta series has the Orlando Magic looking like the team that no one wants to face in these playoffs. See for yourself:

Vs. Bobcats:           |         Vs. Hawks:

Game 1: 5pts, 7rebs, 9blks, 5 fouls    |  Game 1: 21pts, 12rebs, 5blks, 3 fouls
Game 2: 15pts, 9rebs, 2blks, 5 fouls  |  Game 2: 29pts, 17rebs, 1blk, 5 fouls

Game 3: 13pts, 8rebs, 7blks, fouled out |  Game 3: 21pts, 16rebs, 1blk, 4 fouls

Game 4: 6pts, 13rebs, 2blks, fouled out  | Game 4: 13pts, 8rebs, 4blks, 4 fouls

Although there is a slight similarity in the amount of fouls Howard has committed, the total minutes played in those 2 series’ are far from similar. Not to mention Dwight averaged a staggering 83.4% (27-32 fgs) in the Atlanta series.
With the best team in basketball & a bitter taste in their mouths, the Orlando Magic seemed poised for a consecutive trip to the NBA Finals. This time they expect the outcome to be different.
